12 Chromolithographs by William Dickes, drawn from nature by Mrs J.W.Whymper, with the accompanying letterpress discussing the common plants and flowers from the British countryside, in the original heavily embossed gilt decorated cloth, the 12 plates are mounted, there is some light foxing, not affecting plates, contents a little loose, minor corner wear, bevelled edges, large square quarto, (4to), a label from the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education and presented by the publishers, S.P.C.K. this is placed on the front endpaper, the original owner that the presentation label was for has crossed his name out heavily, scoring the label through, a clean tight copy of a lovely book, circa 1875-1880.
